Research indicates that a child must
possess automatic reading skills to read
with fluency and a level of reading
   comprehension necessary for learning.

The SOS Reading Approach is the creation of reading specialists
who have made their life's work from helping children of all
ability levels to learn to read.

A basic reading framework based on more than 20 years
of studies and field research, The SOS Reading Approach
operates on the understanding that until a child possesses
automatic reading skills, he or she cannot read with fluency,
which is requisite to reading comprehension.

The SOS Reading Approach is a proven system with
components designed specifically to help schools, teachers
and parents provide the targeted instruction that young
children need to master fluent reading comprehension skills.
Special emphasis is placed on children who qualify for early
intervention programs such as Title I, EIP and ESOL.
